Juva Barber, Executive Director of Kentuckians for Better Transportation, is a skilled association management professional with more than 17 years of experience in government affairs, communications, public relations, event planning, and strategic planning.
As KBT Executive Director, Barber oversees all aspects of the association that educates and advocates for a safe, sustainable transportation network.
KBT is a multimodal trade association that represents all modes of transportation in Kentucky including airports, riverports and river industries, railroads, public transit, and Kentucky’s local road, highway and bridge design and construction industry.
Barber joined KBT in 2013 after working with the Indiana Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association in Indianapolis. She began her professional career with the Home Builders Association of Kentucky where she served as Member Services Director prior to being promoted to Government Affairs Director.
Barber, a Laurel County native, is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She and her husband Chris currently reside in Louisville with their two children.
